Planning for Summer part 2

PLANNING for SUMMER: Consider getting a little stash for summer drinking. A super-refresher from a cool climate.

THE ORIGINAL SAUVIGNON BLANC

The Sauvignon grape originated in the Loire Valley of France where the wines express the cool climate and the French fondness for ‘understated’ wines. Taste this Sauvignon and you’ll feel the sharpness of a good aperitif and the suggestion of an appetizer. (But too light for a main course). A very different experience from the ‘party mood’ of most of todays popular Sauvignons. I love the fresh, frankness of this wine – there’s not a trace of make-up or prettiness.
