Regular readers will be familiar with my fondness for Italy’s outstanding white wines. Not Pinot Grigio, of course, but a host of other native grape varieties – many from the south. What these wines deliver is something less obvious than Chard or Sauvignon – think sleek over flash. Wonderful natural expressions that refresh and delight, but which are difficult to describe.
