One of my most favourite days of the year is the Men in Pink. Today is the 5th anniversary of a special luncheon with 30 to 40 men – mainly winemakers and promoters of Ontario produced Rosé – dressed appropriately, tasting and kibbutzing over a long lunch at Allen’s on the Danforth. Allen’s has one of the nicest patios in Toronto – thanks to a large weeping willow tree – and is owned by John Allen who is a HUGE supporter of the Ontario wine industry.
Those who are regular readers know my fondness for the ‘pink’ – especially in summer. A great wine to pair with charcuterie, Indian food – just about anything. Rosé seems to make everyone instantly happy – another French lesson!
