While our cousins in Quebec pay more for most imports than we do – they pay less for French wine. One of the delights of visiting Montreal is the opportunity to drink tasty Burgundy in bistro-style restaurants such as L’Express and Holder.
Recently we had a very classy sparkling, and a red Bourgogne – each for $38 per bottle. Along with great service and friendliness by the bartenders. In general, Montreal restaurants have better wine prices than their Toronto/Ottawa neighbours.
