GET REAL WITH AN ITALIAN RED
Dolcetto and Barbera are two of the last outposts of traditional Italian red wines. Wines with flavours and feeling of the earth – unadorned with anything toasty, buttery or sweet. They combine the no-nonsense feeling of a taverna wine with something special. So invigorating and appetizing – feels like you could drink lots. Like a good painting, or jazz , there’s a great mix or tension, presence and imagination. I’d be buying cases if it we’re $12.95, but I’ll splurge for the spiritual experience of a wine that offers ‘realness’.
