“This is nice” is what people usually say when they are enjoying a wine. Which is often not totally accurate – what they should be saying is “this wine is working for me right now”, even if it is a searingly dry Sauvignon – hardly a ‘nice’ wine. But there are wines with a ‘nice’ nature, such as the one below.

FYI. Many of us have a soft spot for Fetzer as they pioneered the organic movement in Californian wines, and the concept of pairing local foods with their wines. The family sold on a few years ago, but I believe the original practices are still in place.
