This is a ‘biggie’ for Ontario Pinot. Certainly on the dark and manly side. Quite tannic, with woodsy, earthy flavours – shades of Barolo or Barbera. Interesting how many Niagara reds take on Italian personality/flavours. Hard not to think of lamb chops, or duck breast. And a roaring fire. This is winter Pinot. Could age another year or two.
