2 Lesser-known Italian Whites

Here are two lesser-known Italian whites to check out – currently offered by Vintages.

Citra’s Percorino is a super ‘nice guy’. Think Pinot Grigio with some flair and charm. A lovely any time sipper.
CITRA 17 Pecorino Superiore, ‘Ferzo’, Abruzzo, Italy 573683 Vintages $17.95

Gavi, made with the Cortese grape, is one of the purest expressions in white wine. Light, delicately flavoured and with a crunchy, starched shirt feeling. Gavi is all about context, as in delivering a ‘perfect’ start to a summer luncheon or evening. Needs the moment, and really good chilling.
BERSANO 17 Gavi de Gavi, Piemonte, Italy 999979 Vintages $18.95
